On the walk home from the lab one evening, I was rewarded with this spectacular sight, as if someone had torn a strip from the sky and revealed the heavens underneath. I rushed to set my camera on a tripod and fired off a succession of shots with the lens wide open, hoping that I would be able to capture enough light to result in a usable image before the moon streaked into a blur. Thankfully, this one turned out beautifully.
